Lindsey - red Wine-Braised Beef
"I have no idea what magazine I tore this out of but it’s a good one. It takes a little planning in the morning because of the chopping of veggies and searing of the meat. (I hate mushrooms so I never put those in) But it makes the house smell so good. I serve it with mashed potatoes. It’s a good fall/winter recipe that is just good comfort food."

anna - Vegetable Beef Soup

"Can use crockpot or stove top! So easy and love sneaking those veggies in. Crowd pleaser. We like saltines or cheese bread with this!
Don't forget to cook the ground beef first on this one."
Bonus from anna: Lemon Rosemary Chicken Soup
"This one is different and delicious. I used dried rosemary, about 1.5 cups chopped kale, and probably less lemon juice too. Serve with cheesy bread and it’s a delightful change in the colder months!
Pro tip: the premade chopped mirepoix veggies (celery, onion, carrots) from Trader Joe’s saves some chopping time if you’re needing something quick!"
Erika - Marry Me Chicken Soup
"I've made this twice now and it is just so warm and cozy that I plan to keep it around for a while. I will say, once you add the noodles to the crockpot the liquid/soup part decreases by a lot. So I've started doubling the broth and cream from the original recipe. I've updated the recipe below with those measurements! I also prefer to leave the red pepper flakes out so the kids don't think it is too spicy. Then I add them on my individual bowl when it's served."
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
* 8 cups chicken broth (updated from 4C.)
* 2 cup heavy cream (updated from 1C.)
* 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
* 2 tsp dried basil
* 2 tsp garlic powder
* 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 box ditalini noodles
DIRECTIONS:
Place chicken and chicken broth in your crockpot. Add in your sun-dried tomatoes, basil, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
Gently shred the chicken using a hand mixer. Don’t overdo the shredding, you want the chicken in chunky pieces!
Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Then add in about 3/4 of a 1 lb box of ditalini noodles. Cook on high for another hour.
Serve warm and top with more parmesan cheese.
Yum
