Love month isn’t just for romance—it’s also the perfect time to celebrate the little moments we cherish most with our kids! This month In the Group Chat, in between conversations about moving, sickness, a daddy daughter dance and our upcoming Galentine’s Moms Night, we’re talking about the things we LOVE to do with our little ones.
Each of us has different ways we connect and make memories with our families. Whether it’s a favorite outing, a bedtime ritual, or a creative activity, these are the moments that make motherhood so special. Ready for some heartwarming inspiration? Let’s dive in!

In this group chat we have:
Allie, a mom a 3 (1 girl, 2 boys)
Kayla, a mom of 3 boys
Sarah, a mom of 3 girls
Lindsey, a mom of 2 boys
Anna, a mom of 3 (1 boy, 2 girls)
Racie, a mom of 4 (2 boys, 2 girl)
Anna - Thrifting
"Ok something I love to do with the kids! I’m probably in the minority here but I love to go thrift shopping with my kids. Garage sales, consignment sales, thrift stores, etc…. I get to be a cool mom that says yes to $2 junk, I get to browse and treasure hunt, and we all leave happy. I especially love to take my middle thrifting as a date just me and her, it’s some good girl bonding time! The dollar store is always a good time too 😅"
"I get to be a cool mom that say yes" – anna
Lindsey - Baking & reading
Things I love to do with my kids…
I really do love to bake with my kids. The boys take turns adding the ingredients and switching on my kitchen aid mixer. The mixer was Henry’s favorite thing and we baked A LOT during the pandemic. I have many pictures of my boys impatiently waiting, looking in the oven door for things to finish baking.
But lately one of my favorite things is reading with Henry. We normally read two picture books with Nolan and then he and I read a couple of chapters out of a chapter book. He really loves the “I Survived” series by Lauren Tarshis. But we recently finished “The Christmas Pig” by JK Rowling and we both absolutely loved it. I bought “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” picture book at McKay's recently and I’m going to make it a birthday present the summer. I can hardly wait!"
Racie - Bedtime
"Well, my number one favorite thing is putting them to bed!"
Who can relate to this?!?! <immediately raises hand!>
erika - harry potter world

"One of my absolute favorite things to do with my kids right now is reading "Harry Potter" together. I found the beautifully illustrated edition (Lindsey and I have been texting a lot about this over the last could months) and bought it *way* in advance of Christmas, knowing it would be something special.
When the girls unwrapped it, I was just as excited as they were—maybe more! Every time we sit down to read, I’m instantly transported back remembering the thrill of experiencing each book as it was released. Seeing my 6- and 4-year-old get completely drawn into the magical world, asking thoughtful questions, and remembering details from previous chapters has been so special. They’re so into it, they even requested Gryffindor pajamas! We recently purchased the second book and can’t wait to keep the magic going. Sharing this story with them has truly been one of the most special parts of this season of motherhood."
LOVE MONTH
Whether it’s reading a favorite book, baking together, or simply spending time outdoors, these are the memories that will stick with us (and them!) for years to come. And the best part? The things we love doing together will continue to evolve as they grow, giving us new ways to connect and make magic in the everyday.
