words that read "red, weigled & Blue"

There’s just something about the Fourth of July that gets me every time — the flags, the fireworks, the parade candy, the themed outfits, the memories made under twinkly patio lights. I go all in for the red, white, and blue — and now you can too. Of course these items also work for Memorial Day and Labor Day and anything in between. I've even been known to throw a "Red, White & Two" or suggest a "Star Spangled Seven" birthday party! You catch my drift, you are sure to get your uses out of these items!

Whether you're heading to a parade, hosting a backyard BBQ, or just want to infuse a little patriotism into your everyday, I’ve rounded up all my favorite festive finds to make this holiday your most fun and fabulous yet.

From star-spangled décor to the cutest kids’ outfits, parade gear to hostess must-haves — these are my tried-and-true red, white, and YOU picks.

Home Decor That Brings the Spark

There’s no such thing as too many flags, twinkle lights, or star garlands. I love creating a festive vibe throughout the whole month of July — from the front door to the dining table and everything in between. These favorites are the perfect way to set the scene.

red white and blue home decor finds - pillows, bunting, bows, yard flags and blankets

Shop My Home Decor Picks:

  • Cupcake and Cashmere American Flag Pillows - I snagged these at Marshalls and immediately regretted not buying an extra set. They're soft, comfy, and bring the perfect patriotic pop to your couch.

  • American Flag Bunting - A classic for a reason! I hang these out front and on the back deck. They’re timeless, festive, and make a big impact with very little effort.

  • Patriotic Throw Blanket with Tassels - I have it in both red and blue, and it looks gorgeous on my blanket ladder… when my kids aren’t dragging it across the floor pretending it's a superhero cape.

  • Red Stripped Outdoor Pillows - These add just the right touch of Americana to your patio furniture—no need to get too matchy-matchy.

  • Patriotic Flocked Stars and Stripes Bows - I used three packs of these to DIY my own mantel garland, and it turned out so cute. Such an easy project with a big payoff.

  • Decorative Initial Letter Garden Flag - Made of sturdy burlap and beautifully designed, this flag was an easy yes for me. It adds a little charm and personalization to the yard!

Parade Day Essentials

Parade season is the main event in our house. We come prepped with all the bells and whistles — literally. Think snacks, fans, festive shades, noise makers, and chairs with cupholders. If you’re going to do a parade, do it right.

My Parade Day Must-Haves:

  • All-Purpose Utility Tote with Pockets - This tote is the real MVP. It holds everything on this parade day list (plus snacks, water bottles, sunscreen—you name it). It’s sturdy, spacious, and when it’s not coming along for the parade, it lives in my trunk as the ultimate car organizer.

  • Nail Time - I grabbed the Dashing Diva polish stickers for myself and, naturally, my little divas wanted in. These kid-friendly nail stickers are perfect for their parade day manicures and make for a super fun pre-parade activity.

  • Beads for All - No red, white, and blue playdate or parade is complete without beads! I stocked up on pre-made beaded necklaces to hand out at the parade and grabbed some bulk wooden bead for a DIY bracelet station to keep the kids busy and creative.

  • Red, White and Blue Everywhere - We go all in for parade day. Hair and body glitter? Check. Tri-color face paint? Of course. And I am going to cap off parade morning activities with these Americana temporary tattoos for all!

Women's Looks That Say "Festive but Make It Fashion"

You can absolutely look cute and stay comfortable — especially in the summer heat. I’ve picked out breezy dresses, patriotic swimsuits, and subtle (or bold) accessories to help you show your spirit in style. And yes, I have them all... This is a full week celebration in my house!

Shop My Women’s Attire Favorites:

  • Women's Summer Swing Mini Dress with Bow Straps - You’ll spot me in this at the parade, our annual red, white, and blue play date, or honestly any patriotic gathering this season. It’s cute, comfy, and festive—the only thing it’s missing is pockets!

  • American Flag Star Ruffled Mini Dress - I’ve had this one in rotation for a few years now and always find a reason to bring it out. Bold, bright, and unapologetically festive—if you love a statement look, this dress is calling your name.

  • My favorite Star Stack Earrings - These earrings from local maker @LambieCakesClay are stylish, fun and lightweight! My daughters and husband picked these out for me one year as a gift, and they’ve been a staple ever since.

  • Women's High Waisted Tankini Swimsuit - Just added this one to my collection and I’m already obsessed. I have it in another color way and couldn’t resist the red, white, and blue version for 4th of July day pool hangs and summer fun to come.

  • Happy Sailed Women's Boho Maxi Skirt - I'm already picturing this skirt (WITH pockets!) paired with a white tank and my killer American flag fanny pack + temporary tattoos + beaded bandana bracelets. It’s a whole look, and I’m not mad about it.

  • American Flag Knotted Headband with Star USA Charms - Grabbed these in red and blue (white felt too risky with our snack-loving crew!). Who will end up wearing them? Me? The kids? Probably both. They were just too cute not to add to our collection.

Girls Outfits for the Stars of the Show

Matching outfits? Obviously. A little sparkle? Always. Comfort for running wild and chasing bubbles? Required. These are some of my favorite red, white, and blue looks for little girls — approved by both mom and my trio of tiny fashionistas.

Shop My Girls Clothing Picks:

  • Carter's Patriotic Romper - Last year my girls wore the dress version of this adorable watermelon print, and now it’s back as a romper—and just as sweet! It’s the perfect blend of festive and fun for your littlest firecrackers.

  • Carter's Baby Girls' Strawberries Dress - Nothing says summer like strawberries, and this red, white, and blue fruit-forward find from Target was an instant add to cart for my youngest. Bonus: I scooped one up for her tiny bestie too for the cutest matching moment.

  • Star Spangled Americana Tutu Dress - This tulle number is tutu much in the best way. The bold star print brings the wow factor, and it even comes in a red version featuring patriotic popsicles—yes, please.

  • Tiered Stars and Stripes Dress - When your oldest picks out her own dress and nails the patriotic theme? Instant mom pride. The sweet bow-tied straps and subtle star-and-stripe design are just dreamy. She’s officially on brand.

  • Patriotic Color Block Tiered Dress - I found this gem months ago and have been hiding it away to avoid any stain disasters. It’s our official parade dress this year! A friend even suggested monogramming or adding flag embroidery to the top—an adorable idea I may run with next year.

Hosting Must-Haves for a Backyard Bash

Whether you’re going all out or just keeping it simple with sparklers and s’mores, these finds make it easy to host a patriotic party everyone will remember. Think serveware, drinkware, lawn games, and red, white, and blue everything.

red white and blue hosting finds - bistro lights, star garland, tossware, usa cutting board, balloons, sprinkles, plates and cutlery.

My Party-Ready Hosting Picks:

  • LED Red White and Blue Outdoor String Lights - This week’s mission: adding hooks to the deck so I can finally hang these beauties. I’ve dreamed of string lights for years—so naturally, I went all-in with red, white, and blue. They’ll stay up long after the fireworks fade!

  • Sprinkle Season - You can't make cake pops, or cookies cakes, or cupcakes, or rice crispy treats, or patriotic popcorn or even pancakes without Red White and Blue Sprinkles! That's why you will find this 2+ pound container of them at my house! We are sprinkling everything this 4th of July weekend!

  • Party Decor - Balloon arches? Absolutely. Sparkly star garlands? Draped everywhere. USA-shaped cutting board? Already dreaming up charcuterie layouts. The decorations are loud, proud, and ready for a weekend-long celebration.

  • American Pride Tossware - I picked up these stemless wine glasses last fall and have been saving them for this exact moment. Tossware is reusable, recyclable, and totally chic. This set will be seeing action all week… maybe all summer. Great for your next event!

  • Themed Tableware for the Win - With back-to-back events on the calendar, I stocked up on fun and functional party goods—think red, white & blue cups, plates, napkins, and sparkly plastic utensils. Bonus: these USA Paper Cups already pulled snack, craft and ice cream duty earlier this week. Functional and festive? Yes, please.
